Hyderabad | Oct 5, 2017 : A tragic case of alleged medical negligence has surfaced involving Dr. Sasikala Narayana of Kosaraju Hospital in Langerhouse. A pregnant woman, who was in her ninth month of pregnancy, had been under the care of Dr. Sasikala for regular check-ups leading up to the delivery of her child. However, the patient now claims she was misled and given incorrect medical guidance, which ultimately resulted in the loss of her baby.
According to the patient’s account, she had been visiting Dr. Sasikala regularly as her due date approached. Despite being in the ninth month of her pregnancy, the patient requested that her doctor perform a delivery, but Dr. Sasikala allegedly advised her to wait another week, stating that the baby would be delivered at that time. The patient, who is reportedly from a poor and uneducated background, trusted the doctor’s advice and followed her instructions.
However, when the patient returned for her check-up the following week, she was told by Dr. Sasikala that the baby’s heartbeat was no longer detectable and that the baby had died. The doctor reportedly claimed that she could no longer perform the delivery.
Distressed and in disbelief, the patient sought second opinions from other medical professionals at various hospitals. After further examinations, the other doctors informed her that the baby had likely died four days earlier, and they were unable to perform a delivery at that stage. In a state of shock and grief, the patient and her family returned to Kosaraju Hospital, hoping to resolve the situation. However, when they attempted to enter the hospital, the staff and security allegedly blocked the entrance, preventing them from entering.
Faced with this situation, the patient and her family then proceeded to the Langerhouse Police Station, where they lodged a formal complaint. The police reportedly assisted the patient and her family, offering support in seeking justice for the alleged negligence.
The patient and her family now seek accountability for the loss of their child and the alleged malpractice they endured at the hands of the medical staff. Authorities are investigating the matter, and a formal inquiry into the actions of Dr. Sasikala Narayana and Kosaraju Hospital is underway.
This case has sparked outrage among local communities, raising concerns about the accessibility of quality healthcare, particularly for marginalized groups who may face language, educational, and financial barriers in seeking medical treatment.
