According to police reports, a car returning from the Prayagraj Maha Kumbh collided head-on with a truck near Devtalab. The accident resulted in the immediate deaths of two individuals, identified as Rakesh Pardesi and Anjana Chaurasia. A third victim, Sarita Pardesi, succumbed to her injuries at Sanjay Gandhi Hospital in Rewa. The car’s occupants, all residents of Maharashtra, were returning after a holy dip in the Ganges when the vehicle lost control.

The police investigation revealed that the car first struck a road divider before crashing into the oncoming truck. Initial reports suggest that excessive speed may have played a significant role in this accident. In a separate incident, a car collided with a moving dumper truck in the Dhangaon police station area of Khandwa, resulting in four fatalities and two injuries. Among the injured was a one-and-a-half-year-old girl, who has been hospitalized in Sanawad.
