Telangana CM Unveils ₹1,000 Crore Development in Narayanpet

Telangana Development Initiatives under Congress Leadership.Telangana’s development has taken a significant leap forward under the Congress leadership, as evidenced by the recent announcements made by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. On Friday, he laid the foundation stone for development projects worth ₹1,000 crore in Narayanpet. During a public meeting in Appakpally, Reddy confidently challenged opposition parties to engage in a debate about the extensive development and welfare programs that have been implemented by the Congress government within just 12 months of assuming power.

Key Development Achievements

In just one year, the Congress government has made remarkable strides. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy stated that they have created 55,000 jobs and approved the construction of 5 lakh houses. He emphasized that Telangana is poised to emerge as one of the leading states in India under Congress rule. A notable initiative introduced is the empowerment of women through self-help groups that will operate petrol bunks, promoting economic independence for women in the region.

Reddy did not shy away from criticizing the previous BRS government, accusing them of neglecting the poor and weaker sections of society for ten years. He reminded the audience that the earlier Congress administration had sanctioned 25 lakh Indiramma houses, while the BRS government failed to prioritize the needs of the vulnerable population. Now, with the Congress government, construction is set to commence on the 5 lakh Indiramma houses in Narayanpet, with a promise to increase allocations to 5,000 houses per constituency if necessary.

Commitment to Regional Development

The Chief Minister expressed his dedication to revamping the Palamuru region, which has long been overlooked. Despite the region receiving 811 TMC of water annually, past administrations failed to complete critical irrigation projects. Reddy accused former CM KCR of diverting essential water resources to Rayalaseema while neglecting the needs of Palamuru. He reassured residents that his government would expedite work on vital projects, including the Palamuru-Rangareddy, Uddandapur, Bhima, Nettempadu, Kalwakurthy, and Koil Sagar projects, ensuring adequate drinking and irrigation water for farmers.

Major Infrastructure Developments

During his visit, Reddy inaugurated and laid the groundwork for several key projects. These included a ₹56 crore medical college building, a ₹130 crore new hostel at the medical college, and a ₹200 crore Young India Integrated Residential School Complex. Additionally, funds were allocated for a government nursing college, a new 100-bed hospital unit, major road development projects, and rural police stations. A significant amount of ₹12.7 crore was earmarked for CRR roads, and ₹7 crore was allocated for a new Mandal Parishad Office in Marikal.

Reddy openly challenged the BRS and BJP to debate the Congress government’s achievements in just one year as compared to the lengthy ten-year rule of BRS and the twelve-year tenure of the BJP-led Centre.Telangana Development Initiatives under Congress Leadership. He criticized the previous administration for leaving the state in a financial quagmire, burdened with ₹8 lakh crore in debt and ₹40,000 crore in unpaid bills.

Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha, in support of Reddy’s vision, highlighted the Congress government’s commitment to social justice. He noted that within 120 days, the government had effectively completed a caste census and implemented a 9.7% reservation for the Madiga community. Minister Jupally Krishna Rao added that the Congress government had worked tirelessly to fulfill its promises within just 14 months, in stark contrast to the previous administration.

The event attracted numerous key leaders, including Ministers Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Anasuya Seethakka, Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari, DGP Jitender, and local MLAs. For more insights on Telangana’s political landscape, you can visit The Hans Bharat.
