Pawan Kalyan remembers Hussaini with profound sadness following the passing of his karate instructor and mentor at the age of 60. In a heartfelt message, Kalyan shared the deep bond he had with Hussaini, who played a pivotal role in his life by training him to become a black belt in karate.

A Personal Connection

Kalyan learned of Hussaini’s illness just four days before his passing. He had planned to visit him in Chennai on the 29th of this month. In his tribute, he expressed, “I was deeply saddened to learn that Shihan Hussaini had passed away. He taught me karate with strict rules, and I adhered to everything he said.” Initially, Hussaini hesitated to take him on as a student, stating he wasn’t currently accepting new trainees. However, after much pleading, he agreed to train Kalyan.

Kalyan would attend training sessions early in the morning and often stayed until evening. He acknowledged that this rigorous training proved invaluable for his role in the film ‘Thammudu’. The lessons he learned from Hussaini extended far beyond karate, shaping his discipline and work ethic.

Hussaini’s Legacy

Shihan Hussaini was not only a karate instructor but also a significant figure in martial arts, having trained approximately 3,000 individuals. His contributions extended to promoting archery in Tamil Nadu, where he held key positions within the State Archery Association. In his message, Pawan Kalyan remarked, “His decision to donate his body to a medical college after his death reflects his remarkable character.” This selfless act showcases the kind of person Hussaini truly was. Kalyan also extended his deepest condolences to the family of Shihan Hussaini during this challenging time.
