Minister Blames BRS and the Victim in Tiger Attack Incident

Forest Minister Konda Surekha has sparked controversy by demanding Rs. 1 crore compensation for the family of Shailaja, a tribal student who tragically passed away. The Minister accused the BRS of politicizing the issue, while also addressing the recent tiger attack in Kumram Bheem Asifabad.

She stated that the tragedy could have been prevented if forest officials’ warnings were followed. “People have been cautioned not to venture into forested areas before 10 a.m. or after 5 p.m. Sadly, the woman entered the cotton fields at 8 a.m., leading to the unfortunate incident,” the Minister said.

Allegations Against RS Praveen Kumar and Food Poisoning Incidents

Minister Konda Surekha also accused former TGSWREIS secretary RS Praveen Kumar of being responsible for several food poisoning cases in Gurukul schools across the state. She claimed that unauthorized staff appointments and a lack of oversight contributed to the ongoing issues.

She assured that investigations were underway and emphasized that strict action would be taken against those found guilty. Furthermore, the Minister highlighted the Congress government’s ongoing efforts to ensure quality healthcare for the students affected by food poisoning.

Accusations Against BRS and Social Media Platforms

In her statements, Konda Surekha accused the BRS party of obstructing key projects such as the River Musi and pharma village initiatives. She also criticized the attack on the Vikarabad Collector, calling it a planned act to stir unrest.

Additionally, the Minister took aim at certain social media platforms, stating, “Unverified sources and platforms have no authority to question government actions at this stage. Accountability will be assessed after the full term, when the progress is evaluated.”
