New Chairman Appointment
Hyderabad: Burra Venkatesham, IAS and Principal Secretary of Higher Education in Telangana, has been appointed as the new Chairman of Telangana Public Service Commission (TPSC).
The current Chairman, M Mahender Reddy, is set to complete his tenure on December 3. The state government issued orders late on Saturday for Venkatesham’s appointment. He will assume charge on the same day.
Burra Venkatesham’s New Role
Venkatesham, a senior IAS officer, is known for his role as Principal Secretary of Higher Education. His appointment to the TPSC is expected to bring significant changes to the commission’s operations and public service recruitment in Telangana.
With Venkatesham at the helm, the TPSC is expected to focus on streamlining the selection process and ensuring transparency in recruitment for various government jobs across the state.
